The Mercer County Conservation District commits to protect, improve and sustain the natural resources of Mercer County. We promote responsible stewardship by developing, evaluating and implementing conservation practices through cooperative land users. We provide technical guidance, on-site expertise, and education for agencies and the public in resource conservation.
We offer many tree planting services, including machine planting, planning, tree sales, weed barrier fabric, mowing and tilling.

CSP Conservation Stewardship Program
The Conservation Stewardship Program helps agricultural producers maintain and improve their existing conservation systems and adopt additional conservation activities to address priority resources concerns. more
EQIP Environmental Quality Incentives Program
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary program that provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers to plan and implement conservation practices that improve soil, water, plant, animal, air and related natural resources on agricultural land and non-industrial private forestland. more
NUTBAL Center for Natural Resource Information Technology (CNRIT)
NUTBAL's primary purpose is to provide the livestock industry the means to monitor the nutrient concentration in the animal's diet and determine if the current diet is sufficient to meet performance goals set by the producer. more
